The benefits of a Single Cup Coffee Maker

There are a number of reasons why a single serve coffee maker could be the right choice for your kitchen. Maybe you live alone or perhaps you're the only member in the house that enjoys 'real' coffee therefore making a 1 cup coffee maker the practical choice, but one thing's for certain, the nifty little single cup coffee maker is real handy for many households.

Also, there seem to be fewer and fewer ‘morning people” these days. I am definitely not one myself. Making an entire pot of coffee is a big waste in my home because I get up as late as I possibly can in the morning. I rarely have time for more than one serving of the all important morning brew. I chose to purchase a single cup coffee maker to use throughout the week and the purchase was very wise.

My single cup coffee maker was a necessary purchase for me because I was loosing count on how many times I'd thrown away a half of a pot of coffee here and three quarters of one there. The price of coffee is pretty steep right now. It is better to make as much as you need when you need it rather than wasting perfectly good java beans. A one cup coffee maker is the ideal option for people on the go.

Families have very busy schedules. You may find that you get up one or two hours before the rest of the clan. This can be a dilemma for any person who loves a mug of brew to help him wake up. By the time the next person reaches the kitchen the morning brew has been sitting for a couple of hours.

My sister has quite a large family and she thought that purchasing a 10 cup coffee maker would be the way to go. But as she wakes up at around 05:30 every workday morning with her husband (who's a tea drinker), and by the time the kids got out of bed they'd want fresh coffee, and so that big pot made hours earlier by Mum, just got slung away in place of a fresh brew. So once again, the 1 cup coffee maker became her best friend in the morning. In fact, the family is in and out all day and half the evening, so the single cup coffee maker is both easy and convenient for anyone wanting a quick cuppa.

No one likes a stale cup of coffee. A one cup coffee maker is the perfect solution to drinking leftovers from the early riser. In the past, I have used left over coffee to season roasts but no one cooks a roast each and every day. There are very few other uses for the leftovers, too.

Purchasing a one cup coffee maker has saved my family quite a bit of money over the past few months. I had a severe case of sticker shock after my last purchase of my favorite java beans. There is no way I was about to toss out leftovers that cost that much money.

I was also sick of reheating my morning brew. Coffee wasn’t made for the microwave but I found myself reheating my caffeine supply every day. It just doesn’t taste right. If I am going to spend a good chunk of change on java beans then I am going to enjoy the taste of the product.

With single cup coffee brewers I am guaranteed a fresh mug of brew each and every morning. Since the unit is so small, it brews quickly and I find that I can make a quick cup here and there throughout the day without worrying about waste.

So, it's all about ascertaining who drinks what and when. If you've a small coffee drinking family that all sit at the breakfast table together, then a 4 cup coffee maker is perhaps the ideal choice. If you're just a couple, then the 2 cup coffee maker maybe just right. Big is not always best for the budget if your pot of Joe is going to waste. Here, it pays to think before you drink.
