Mine's a Coffee latte. What's yours?

For years and years I only ever knew about coffee from a jar be it in granules or powder form. Whichever, it was still instant, and teaspoonful was all that was needed to get a quick mug of bland beverage. Of course, I didn't think it bland at the time as it was all I knew, but once I'd got a shot of 'real' coffee tantalizing the taste buds, there was no going back. Toady, if it's not a latte coffee or a frothy cappuccino topped with steamed milk or cream for breakfast, then I'd sooner go without than resort back to the stuff in the jar.

When you rise and shine early in the AM, what is the first thing that pops into your head? Okay, after you've gone to the bathroom. For many of us it's a nice fresh cup of coffee. Ah yes, you can smell that aroma as it beckons you from the kitchen. Or actually to the drive-thru would be more accurate in this day and age. Every man and woman across the country is craving that tasty latte coffee. A new era in java is certainly in full swing these days. Although I still watch my parents resort to the dehydrated drink, there's an espresso machine resting on my kitchen counter as a matter of necessity.

This way each and every morning and afternoon I can kick back and relax with either a piping hot cafe latte or an iced vanilla latte coffee. Yep, that's my favorite. Don't we all have that ideal caffeinated beverage that we crave on a daily basis? What's you favorite latte coffee? Honestly folks, if you don't yet have your won latte machine, you don't know what you're missing. Give up the granules and get a bit of choice into the kitchen.

It's funny how I seem to get more visitors now that I have my own latte maker. Come to think about it, there's no one breaking down my parent's door for coffee mornings these days, but for me, it seems like I'm forever washing up the latte cups ready for the next guest. But hey! I'm not complaining. There's nothing like the fresh smell and taste of real coffee that's brewed fresh from the home.

How often do you hit up the local drive-thru coffee house? Do you find yourself passing through their line around one or two times a day? Wow, think of all the cash they make off of you alone. Now I'm not saying that you should suddenly squelch your desire for coffee and never enjoy a fresh latte coffee again for the rest of your days. However, I am asking you to consider how much you spend on fancy coffee drinks. Let's think about this for a minute. Most latte coffees run between 3 to 5 dollars a pop, therefore you're spending at least 3 bucks a day; more if you're going back for seconds. Now, that's at least 20 bucks a week, which turns out to be 80 dollars a month. So, have you figured out your yearly latte coffee bill yet? It's a lot, huh? Well, don't get all bent out of shape about it and march down to the local coffee dive and demand all your money back. Maybe it's time you prepared your own latte coffees in the comfort of your own home. There are a plethora of espresso machines on the market these days.

Have you enjoyed your latte coffee today? What is your absolute favorite way to have it prepared? Are you an over-ice kind of coffee nut, or do you only drink it hot? We all love our java fixes prepared in different ways. That's why it's great that there are so many diverse beverages in the coffee industry nowadays. Try getting online and checking out the coffee houses in your area. Or, you can also surf the web for espresso machines and fine coffee beans from around the globe.

Well that's enough ranting out of me for one article. I'm now off to have a go at preparing a nice Chai latte from my new coffee recipe book. You see, owning your own coffee maker doesn't just restrict you to the standard java! My espresso machine will froth up this delicious spiced tea drink too. Just grab coffee recipe book and you'll see that you can brew up Café Americano, Café Crema, Café Au Lait, Hammerhead, and so on. And that's just on the first few pages! Still wanting to head for the drive-thru.

What is Latte coffee ?
A caffe latte, literally "coffee with milk," is espresso with both a generous amount of steamed milk and milk foam. Although you are unlikely to see caffe lattes offered in Italy, except perhaps at breakfast, they have become quite popular in the United States, particularly those flavored with sweet syrups: Source: eHow.com
