Cherry Juice Concentrate. From this sweet and delectable fruit

In my ignorance, I always thought that the only place for a cherry was to decorate the glass of an alcoholic beverage. Mind you, that didn’t come as any surprise to those that knew me back then, as I couldn’t even boil a blessed egg when I fist got married. Anyhow, I’m happy to say I’ve since sharpened up all my culinary skills and have even become somewhat of an expert in the kitchen, which is why I can write articles on something as odd as Cherry juice concentrate.

Cherry juice concentrate is exactly what it sounds like. It’s the concentrated juice of fresh cherries. Cherries are one of the sweetest and most delectable fruits and adding the juice of cherries to beverages and cooking allows you to enjoy the flavor even more.

Many orchards that grow cherries now ship cherry juice concentrate almost as soon as it’s processed. This means that the people receiving the cherry juice concentrate can be certain that it will have the same freshness when it arrives at their home or business as it did when the cherries were first picked.

Adding the cherry juice concentrate to water immediately makes for a refreshing and delicious beverage. Ripe cherries are naturally full of sugar and the cherry juice concentrate reflects that. By simply adding water and ice you instantly have a refreshing, cool drink that will help you cool down on a hot summer day. It’s a great alternative to lemonade and I recommend anyone who hasn’t tried it yet to have a glass.

Cherry juice concentrate can also be added to other fruit juices to create fruit juice cocktails. There are many other fruit juices that complement the taste of the cherry juice. A few examples are grape juice and cranberry juice.

Along with the fresh taste of the cherry juice concentrate there are other benefits to it as well. These are in the form of improved health.

Now I’m no expert but I’ve heard some marvelous things about how Cherry juice concentrate is used by some people as a rheumatoid arthritis treatment, or at least to help manage the pain of arthritis. Long suffering arthritis patients can find relief when they regularly drink cherry juice. This is because of the antioxidants that are found in cherries.

These same antioxidants also are thought to have an effect on infection and even cancer just as many other ‘red’ fruits are reported to be of benefit. Although both infection and cancer need professional medical care, adding healthy foods to your diet can only have beneficial results when you are fighting illness.

Boosting immune system function is another health related benefit of adding cherry juice concentrate to your diet. Immune systems can become sluggish with a poor diet or a lack of exercise. Changing both the diet and exercise routine along with adding a glass or two of cherry juice concentrate to the daily menu can have almost immediate results in how a person feels, and I do talk from personal experience on this particular issue.

Although you can purchase frozen cherry juice concentrate at your local supermarket, you might want to consider having it shipped directly to you from a grower. The cost is often comparable and you’ll have the added assurance of knowing that it’s as fresh as it can be.

So folks, why not give cherries a chance and introduce them into you list of healthy foods? You’re sure to become one of life’s cherry lovers once you try them. Even if you don’t bother with the Cherry Juice Concentrate, you still have other ways to consume this bundle of natural goodness. There are dried cherries, chocolate covered cherries, organically grown wild cherries or sweet cherries in a cocktail, in fact what you can do with a cherry is limited only by your own imagination
